This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

OK, so not only should big oil bail out the auto industry (how many double digit Billion $$ QUARTERS have been recorded by big Oil) but the auto industry should be required to retool (at big oils expense) to plug in hybrid/fuel cells as an option.

The "Now" business model isn't just Get Smart or fall by the way side.

It's Get Lean, Get Green & Stop ripping off the public trust or perish.

It's a great idea but it will never happen, They would be shooting themselves in the foot. Big oil does not want us to have fuel efficient cars or hybrids, and If you have a car that you can charge up at home or fuel up at home (cng) Big oil looses market share, why would they pay for that.

We have known for years that Oil supplies were unstable and running low but the big auto makers chose to ignore that fact, they had lots of money to develop the big gas guzzlers that people love to drive, instead of investing in the technology to make cars more fuel efficient.  Pay for your own retool or go out of business, It's time people take responsibility for their failure to plan ahead and stop expecting the Tax Payers to bail them out!

This is my point exactly. Why should we pay at the pump AND now pay again to bail them out. And then again at the dealership when we purchase a newer vihicle? TRIPLE PRICING? Forget it.

If Big oil doesn't see the writing on the wall then they deserve to have their delivery aparatus (autos) go the way of the dinosaur. Then what are they gonna do?

Hard to have a product to sell and no machines in which to use it.

We have to start dealing at the cause of these dilemas, otherwise we'll just be running from one crisis to the next.

Putting out the wildcat fires with a spoon won't save the forest.

Ever.

Now they're blaming the unions for the bailout.

PLEASE..

Were the unions making $5+/gallon last summer?

Were the unions making multiple YEARS of double digit BILLION $$ quarters??

The UAW & the associated service workers unions aren't the cause of this bailout.
