Officials say the pilot “displayed non-professional behavior” and that a cockpit voice recording showed that he began singing, “Save my life, I'm going down for the last time” after being cleared for approach.

Toxicology tests revealed that the pilot had the drug Zoloft in his system, and medical records revealed he had been treated for anxiety and depression.

The first assignation of "suicide by pilot". The NTSB earlier this year allowed pilots to be medicated while in the cockpit.

Notice it got buried in the local news paper "local news" section under a regional heading.

Comment from an associated posting of this article--

wow suicidal pilots? and I'll bet the media is censored about it leaving out the medicinal details so as not to cause a wide spread panic but maybe people NEED to panic about the fact that psychiatry is starting to medicate everyone and its having such adverse effects. And its censored in the media I'll bet even if you called a news station about the fact that the antidepressants were the biggest factor in a plane crash they would not report it. It is definately time to petition the FAA about this rule. Why cant people understand that life isnt always happy. Honestly its todays society that makes us think youre supposed to be happy all the time its just not so happy and sad go hand in hand sometimes and cant be fixed with a 'mind altering substance' .
